1. Why should I buy dinars?

2. What is the advantage of buying Dinars from Canada verses internationally for Canadians?
When buying New Iraqi Dinars from DinarTradeCanada you are purchasing Dinars that are cleared through Canada Customs. Our customers do not have to incur costs for customs, brokerage or any other legal fees or risks that may be involved when ordering internationally.

3. Do you sell The New Iraqi Dinar?
Yes, we sell the NEW Iraqi Dinar (NID) that came into circulation in 2003. 

4.  Do you sell any other currencies?
Yes, we also sell the Vietnamese Dong, and the new Great Wall of China uncirculated 1 Yuan bank note and other currency sets. Be sure to visit our website regularly for new products and special offers.

5.  How do I know your dinars are authentic?
The New Iraqi Dinar has been designed to be incredibly difficult to counterfeit. With security features including watermarks, color changing elements, metallic ink, a security thread and an imbedded ultraviolet image, the New Iraqi Dinar has more security features than the new 20 dollar bill. This information is readily available on our website. All our banknotes are cleared through Canada customs and authenticated via a counterfeit detection machine. This ensures that our customers are buying only the certified, authentic and uncirculated notes cleared by customs.

6. What condition are your notes in?
All New Iraqi Dinars sold directly through our site are new, uncirculated and serialized. All other currency notes are uncirculated unless stated otherwise. All our circulated notes are in mint condition.

7. Where do you ship to?
We only ship within Canada. 

8. What methods of payment do you accept?
We currently offer PRINT & MAIL, INTERAC E-TRANSFER and WIRE TRANSFER payment options. WE NO LONGER OFFER COD (COLLECT ON DELIVERY) AS A PAYMENT OPTION.  We accept money orders, certified cheques and cashier’s checks. We do not accept cash or personal cheques for Print and Mail payments. Once you have completed your order, a separate email will be sent to you with detailed instructions on how to complete your payment.

9. Do you accept PayPal payment?
No, we do not accept PayPal as a payment option.

10. How long does it take to ship my order?
MAIL orders are shipped within 24 hours of clearing payment with the issuing bank.
INTERAC e-transfer  and Wire Transfer orders are shipped within 24 hours of payment being received.
Your order may be delayed or cancelled due to your order instructions, efforts to contact and locate you, and otherwise comply with applicable law. Business hours and/or currency availability may also be a factor in delays/cancellations. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for additional details. We make good faith efforts to ensure that orders are processed in a timely manner; however we make no representations or warranties regarding the timeliness of processing and shipping.

11.  What are your shipping charges?
Shipping is FREE anywhere in Canada via Canada Post. Additional shipping charges may apply for special or overnight requests. Special requests for shipments via UPS are subject to $40 shipping charge.

12. How is my order shipped?
Your order will be sent via Canada Post Registered Mail (3-7 business days) or via Xpress Post (2-5 business days depending on destination), requiring signature upon receipt. Tracking information is emailed to you as soon as the order is shipped. You may check your order status on www.canadapost.ca. 

13. Do you ship to Postal Boxes (PO BOX)?
Yes we ship to post office box addresses via Canada Post, signature and ID is required upon receipt.

14. What if I am not home to receive the shipment?
If you are not present at the time of delivery, notice will be left by Canada Post staff for future redelivery or pick up arrangement at your local post office.

15.  Do you buy back or exchange Dinars?
We do not buy back or exchange New Iraqi Dinars at this time.

16. Can I pick up my order in person?
No. We operate as an eBusiness and do not provide a pickup service; however, we do offer free shipping for all orders within Canada.

17. Why didn't I receive an Order Confirmation email?
Our shopping cart will automatically send you an Order Confirmation Email so be sure to check your "spam" or "junk mail" folders if you do not receive your order confirmation email within 15 minutes of placing your order. 

18. What is INTERAC e-TRANSFER and how does it work?
DinarTradeCanada now offers Interac e-Transfer (also known as email transfer) as a new payment method.
Interac e-Transfer is a simple, convenient, and
secure way to send and receive money directly from one bank account to another. All you need is access to online banking through a participating financial institution, and you can send money to anyone with an email address and a bank account in Canada - without sharing any personal or financial information. It's a great alternative to cheques and cash. We welcome you to take advantage of this payment method if you have on-line banking set up with a bank that offers E-mail Money Transfer/Interac e-Transfer services.

19. I want to pay via INTERAC eTransfer, but I have a daily limit. Can I send the funds over a couple of days?
Yes. Once you have created an invoice with INTERAC eTransfer as your preferred payment method, you may make multiple payments over the course of a few days depending on your daily eTransfer limit and outstanding balance. The first INTERAC eTransfer payment for a series of payments must be initiated within 24 hours of creating the invoice or your order may be cancelled.

20. How do I send an Interac e-Transfer?
All you need is an email address, access to online banking at a participating financial institution and the email address of the person you are sending money to.
To send an Interac e-Transfer:
*Login to online banking at a participating financial institution
* Choose Interac e-Transfer within the Transfer/Payment menu options
* Select a recipient by entering their email address
* Fill in the Interac e-Transfer information (dollar amount, account from which to withdraw the funds, a security question that only the recipient will know the answer to and optional personal message)
* Follow the instructions to confirm the information and complete the transfer

If you haven't signed up for online banking, contact your financial institution or visit their online banking website to sign up.

21. What is your refund/cancellation policy?
All sales are considered final once your order has been accepted by us. Any order cancellation requests must be sent to us via email to sales@dinartradecanada.com within 24 hours of creating the invoice. Some conditions may apply. 

22. Have the 50 Dinar denomination banknotes been removed from circulation?

Effective May 1st, 2015, the 50 Dinars bank notes were withdrawn from circulation and demonetized. However, it has retained its value as a collectible and keepsake item.

23. For clients with orders $3000 CAD or more, what information does Financial Transactions, and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) require?

Compliance with FINTRAC requires all clients with orders $3000.00 CAD or more to undergo an 
identity verification process with each order. A copy of the customer’s drivers licence or passport is required along with an attested letter of agreement verifying the customers identity signed by a guarantor.

The law also requires that attestation by the guarantor must be
 on a legible photocopy of the document and include the following information:

  • the name, profession and address of the guarantor;
  • the signature of the guarantor; and
  • the type and number of the identifying document provided by the individual whose identity you must ascertain
A guarantor can be:
a dentist, a medical doctor or a chiropractor
a judge, a magistrate or lawyer
a notary (in Quebec) or a notary public
an optometrist or a pharmacist
an accredited public accountant (APA), a chartered accountant (CA), a certified general accountant (CGA), a certified management accountant (CMA), a public accountant (PA) or a registered public accountant (RPA)

This process is required in order to comply with regulation under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering), Terrorist Financing Act and associated regulations for Money Services Businesses in Canada. For more information on FINTRAC regulations, please visit
